Divine wooden building

The wooden church of Ylikiiminki parish in Ylikiiminki, Finland. The church is designed by Jacon Rijf and it is likely to have been fully completed in 1786.

Today drove to the village to visit the post office, or actually see where it was located, and visit local supermarket to buy some groceries. To both direction we passed this nice wooden church, that decided to blip today. Somehow I have always liked old architecture like factories made from red clay tiles and I guess I have also soft spot for these small sized wooden churched you can find here and there across Finland.

At the moment kids are already sleeping and I'm packing together with Mrs.Mrok as tomorrow we are going to one hut in Lapland with one of our friends to enjoy the weekend and spend time at the nearby ski resort. So most likely backblippin on Sunday or Monday then. Have a nice weekend all!
