Falcon Square

Not quite sure why there is a monument in Falcon Square, Inverness with a unicorn on the top and eagles (not falcons, I checked!) swooping down around it. I have always thought it was quite interesting though, defiantly worth a blip.

If any knowledgeable historian knows the answer please let me know.

I seem to have caught it on a good day though without a sea of skaters at the bottom as is the norm it seems on a Saturday afternoon.
