Ashburton

Ashburton, on the edge of the moor, is quite a small place, but is blessed with a lively and varied range of outlets: antique and gift shops, two delis, numerous cafes, an excellent second hand bookshop, a fresh fish shop, and even a place specialising in soap! It featured on one of Kirsty Allsopp's programmes a year or so back, but despite this has continued to trade well.

Oh yes, and it also has one of those excellent hardware shops - that you only seem to find in towns of this size - which seem to sell pretty much anything, from house signs to buckets.
