Domino Circle

I couldn't get the composition right. Much frustrated growling. Gave up in the end, as you might have noticed.

I wonder if it's because it's a stone circle? I mean, they're not really the best design; there's always one bit hiding another bit, however many different angles you try. Do people have this trouble when they go out to photograph real ones?

I spent some of this afternoon toiling to make a very botched trace frame (my desk's veneer was injured in the struggle), encouraged by the still life section in Digital Photo magazine. I think I do like how the light turned out, to be honest. Satisfaction on that score at least.
