Captain's Logbook

A moment

Scouting around for inspiration I remembered a number of members had photographed light bulbs, I also remembered that I have, in one of my many boxes of ?Dad?s stuff?, this light bulb.

It was given to me some years ago and I have never used it. The element is shaped in the form of leaves. I presume they all glow when current passes across them. Some leaves have lost some of their coating, and I don?t know if it would stand having 240 volts.

I?ve kept it as a curiosity.

I also don?t know how other photographers manage to photo their bulbs without reflections in them. Any suggestions are most welcome.
