.. but improving. Went to the beach to clear our heads this morning. It's been a rough 2 days. Getting a phone call at 1 in the morning from the boy who is rarely ill came as a bit of a shock. He had such awful stomach and chest pain he could hardly breathe. Thankfully, he just lives round the corner so we threw on some clothes and rushed him to hospital. The staff in A&E were excellent and did everything they could. He had every test imaginable and was transferred to another hospital where he had a scan today to identify exactly which parts of his inner workings are causing the problem. We won't know the next step until tomorrow - but he is responding to I.V. fluids and analgesia and looks much better today. He was getting a little bit grumpy - a good sign - and wanting to get home. His father remarked that he takes after his mother in that respect! We are, to put it mildly, very relieved and hoping to get him home tomorrow.
Thank you to everyone who sent good wishes and prayers - they were all very much appreciated and helped us through a very stressful and worrying time.
