A Walk In The Woods

Fabulous day here - blue sky, sun shining but producing only shadows instead of heat and very little wind - so off for a walk in the forest and heading for the Schläferkopf. This is a tower that I can see from the roof and it looks all historic and interesting. Alas, up close it loses all of that charm and puts me in mind of one of those really rubbish "theme" restaurants - the sort where you go to drink mead and throw the bones from your leg of lamb over your shoulder (except the mead is horribly sweet and the "lamb" tastes of undercooked grease).

Still that didn't detract from the walk which was through beautiful and quiet forest, so good to get out and exploring. There was an old abandoned railway line that was almost blippable, and the same can be said for the stapled tree, the weird ice/earth formation and a very pretty little set of stairs that I wish i could have sent to Dotty. Ooh and the allotment that had the Ferrari flag flying over it - I'm still trying to figure out how exactly Formula 1 and gardening are connected...
