View from Skinnarvik hill

A bit west of Maria Hill is Skinnarvik hill, a rocky hill on South Island, Stockholm. From there you get a really nice view over central Stockholm. You can see three islands and the mainland. From left it's Kungsholmen with Stockholm City hall (the one with the big tower with three golden crowns at the top), then it's the mainland with the tall, "emotional buildings", then Riddarholmen and, last but not least, Gamla Stan (Old Town - the old medieval parts of town).

The church towers you can see are Engelbrekt, St Johannes, Sta Clara, Hedvig Eleonora, Riddarholm and Big church. The big building in the foreground is an old brewery - today used for other activities.

Shot this during lunch hour today. Morning was brighter - but unfortunately I didn't have time to go out and catch the sunny hours.

If you want to catch up with the general emotions in Stockholm right now as you watch this, check out this link to the webcamera of Emotional cities. When I wrote this 8.30 PM they were yellow.

Have a great weekend!/Z
