One daze at a time...

My last shot of the majestic grey bird in its natural habitat:
Dublin zoo, close to the sea lions enclosure, about 5 minutes before feeding time.

The annual zoo card will expire soon (thanks again Nana!) and we have decided that the EUR160 fee could be better used elsewhere for essential household expenditures (car insurance, food, clothes, school books, new batch of whistling darts for Luca's Nerf gun).

The kids really enjoyed it. We had not been for a couple of months, as the trio seemed to suffer a touch of zooverdose towards the end of the summer, when they'd race around the place to end up in the gift shop a bit earlier and beg for another stretchy lizard.

After a few months break they were actually paying quite a bit of attention to the animals and marveled at the fact that the sloth look a bit like Sid-the-sloth from the Ice Age saga. I always knew that these repeated visits would have many educational benefits...

Mind your freckly Scottish white arse Cairo boy! Thinking about you and Larissa.
