Back in the water!

We've had a really great three days of chilling out in this small (but growing) beach resort, which is located about a third of a way up the Vietnamese coast. We arrived by overnight train from Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday morning - a very noisy and not the most comfortable of journies. I would rate the Indian and Chinese railways over this one. However, it was a means of getting from A to B.

I knew there were diving opportunities in Nha Trang but didn't come here specifically to dive. So to get two dives in today was a right Billy Bonus and Vicky came along as official photographer but snorkelled too. A very professional company called Sailing Club Divers/Octopus took us out on a boat to two different reefs - an early start but back by lunch-time for another busy afternoon....on the beach! A thoroughly good day was had by all.

This is me and Barbra sharing a joke about something or other before we descended for our second dive. We met on a bus during our tour of the Mekong Delta (and ended up sharing a triple room with her, thanks to the p*ss poor organisation of our non English-speaking tour guide) and so we've hooked up again here in Nha Trang for more sunbathing and eating and that kind of thing!

Have back-blipped from Thursday and Friday. Back to culture and sightseeing tomorrow! We're off (by an 11-hour overnight bus this time) to Hoi An. A place reknowned for tailors..... measuring tapes at the ready!!
