Snow Squares?

Are these the new crop circles? We were on our way up to the highest point, the Aiguille Rouge, and because the queue for the last lift was so long, we decided to ski off down and come back later. It was while we were assembling for the descent, I noticed that someone had been hard at work stamping designs in the snow. They are so precise and it must have been such hard work to achieve.
