Good Prince Googly-Eye

Is actually Wilhelm I or indeed Wilhelm The Silent. You can read a good deal more about him here. And I have to say that the punishment handed out to his assassin was particularly imaginative and seriously vindictive.

I suspect he got his googly eye as a part of some Silvester related revelry. It doesn't do him many favours in the dignity stakes. But it made me laugh and that's all I can ask.

Today has been another round of job seeking (including filling out a cv in German - I suspect that may cause a lot of unexpected laughter) and trying to translate emails in German. I have a lot to learn.
