Sheikh Zayad Bridge, Abu Dhabi

The new Sheikh Zayad bridge linking Abu Dhabi to Dubai was opened at Christmas last year. It was designed by Zaha Hadid, and is said to be the most intricate bridge ever constructed. Its curved design arches evoke undulating sand dunes of the desert.
