The Boat and the tarpaulin

We have a biggish boat in the garden that we use for larger river surveys, and as none of those have come along for a few years it has resided in peace in the garden.
What is amazing is the lack of time it has taken for nature to establish a foothold on its base. I shall no doubt return to its display of plants and mosses another day.
For now this is a shot of the old tarpaulin that covers it. This is also slowly fading, falling apart and being eaten away by the elements. This has (at least to me) made it quite interesting to photograph.
