Mt Herbet

Up early this morning and picked up KD at 7, the mission, ride to the top of Mt Herbet. Not sure what had become of me when I suggested this last night, given I have hardly ridden my bike in the past week.

Anyway, cloudy & foggy ride for much of it, and then at around 700m we broke out into gorgeous sunshine. It's a pretty hard ride. Lots of fences, steep inclines (lots of pushing), and cow poo to dodge. But totally worth it one you get the top. Fantastic! And then, an 800m descent, super fantastic! Sooooo much fun it should almost be illegal ;-) Ride time was 1:57 for 14km, although total time was 2:40, remembering that we had an elavation climb of 800m.

Then down to Diamond Harbour for a coffee and home to the families. Good afternoon planning and designing a new shelving unit, and then purchasing wood for the first stage.

Buggered, off to bed early tonight!
