Reading the petition in fromt of the Scottish Parliament.

Although Scotland has not been threatened with the large scale closures of libraries that many English counties have, there are still risks to level and professionalism of service.

Today saw a very hastily arranged day of advocacy and support outside the Scottish Parliament, attended by authors, publishers, librarians and library users, the youngest being 6 weeks weeks old.
