Saturday

Even though Ewan's swimming was cancelled, I resisted the urge to stay in bed, letting watch TV all morning and we got up and went into town with Mandy and Ellen for Ellen's swimming (which was unaffected at a different venue). Mandy dropped us at Silverknowes golf club and we walked down to the shore and along towards Granton, cutting back up through the trees to get back to Craigroyston. We had the now traditional walk around Pennywell and then to Gerry's cafe for breakfast. The breakfast's becoming a nice wee routine.

After that we headed to Miller's in Edinburgh to get some mount board and blades for my mat cutter. Framing tomorrow. Then to the Botanics for a bit of a wander, some tea and a look at some 'art' by Marc Camille Chaimowicz. Nice stuff. Looks like fancy wallpaper, some furniture and rug to me. Also to Ellen. The poor lassie on guard duty near shat herself when Ellen climbed on the wee plinth and sat on the rug (follow the link, third photo down).

Home to cook dinner for guests and laze for a bit. That's Saturday done.
