John McManus

John McManus works for St John of God Services in Dunlaoghaire, Ireland, and for the second time he has brought a group of St John of God employees to visit the services in Mzuzu. The group, called Venture Malawi, had just arrived, when John got Harisen to bring him to see our new development in Lusangazi.
He is pictured here with Benidicto Banda who manages the seed bank site.
Benidicto has partly refurbished one of the old houses to live in and in March, his wife and three children will join him.
Harisen tells me that John was impressed with their achievements since the development began in November.
The greenhouse is almost complete and I'm told that the first crop will be chillies. Fruit tree propagation will be top of thr list.
