Our Village #12

I'd like to be able to say that the photo's blurry because the donkey's were going so fast... but it would be a lie. They weren't! But it was the only one I took of the donkey race this lunchtime, so it will have to do.

The race was at least half an hour late starting - apparently they had trouble getting enough volunteers to ride the seven donkeys - and it was all over in a flash. Again, not because of their speed, but because of the shortness of the course. The only excitement was when one of the riders fell off (no saddles) and he lost his donkey.

Oh well, that's the first time we've seen this annual event and it could well be the last!

P.S. I'm going to stop numbering the village blips. Now that we live here all the time, village blips are obviously going to be more common than pine tree blips!
