Wind

On the second night we stayed at Pounawea but didn't get much sleep due to the wind and rain that ripped through. By morning the rain had gone but the wind was the strongest i've ever felt. We headed along the south coast but driving wasn't easy due to the huge crosswinds.

We stopped at this beach just past Invercargill, the wind was still blowing strong but made for some dramatic waves.

We finished the day at the beautiful town of Te Anau, where the wind was much more bearable.
