Spring Messengers

Dear Winter, by dint of the fact
We have snowdrop and crocus and jasmine
All beginning to bloom,
We can spare you no room.
Dear Winter, farewell:
You're a has-been.

(As well as which, the first two water-lily leaves have found their way up through the surface of the pond: won't be long now till frogspawn appears!)
