Heat at last....

Yes some heat at last, not a change in the weather I'm afraid, still cold and wet here. In fact it was a blizzard earlier on today and we could hardly see through the snow flakes, too mild to lie though.

No, this long awaited heat is a guy burning through a temporary raking beam support that is no longer required. It has been in the way of progress for a couple of weeks now but required an Engineers input and some other temporary supports to be formed before this one could be removed.

It is now being burned out and removed from site much to our excitement.

There is precious little decent light here to get nice shots of the construction environment but it was okay for this one. I would have liked more sparks but as the 'sparks' are mostly molten metal, we try to contain this so as not to burn the place down.

For those who know about these things, there are two other guys and several fire extinguishers just out of shot to prevent any real drama. Health and Safety, don't you know!!
