Delays

A trip to Perth today for a meeting. Delays both ways but for reasons that were new to me...

On the way down the train stopped in the middle of nowhere. When we restarted, the guard announced that someone had pulled the emergency cord in the disabled toilet. When you see trains stop suddenly in films, everyone is thrown forward, there are sparks from the wheels, and there's a screeching noise. None of that happened - we just gently eased to a stop!

On the way home, the train was late to the platform and we managed to get a completely empty carriage. The delay was due to some disruptive passengers being removed from the train further up the track!
