Edinburgh Castle

A dull and wet day today but city packed with folk from Wales.
Is there a rugby match on or something?

The statue is that of Thomas Guthrie, philanthropist 1803 - 1873.
He was minister at St John's and started ragged schools - free education for working class children.
The schools provided three meals a day and the boys were taught skills like shoemaking and printing.
