The Necessary Angel ...

Today looked out a favourite book of poetry by Wallace Stevens and was reminded of this little ceramic gem bought long ago in a wee Keswiick gallery called 'The Necessary Angel'. Yeah, bum connection I know, but it is the umpteenth grey and wet day in a row. The piece is by Chas Utley, and I love its wonky shape and the reaching arms.
Oh yeah, and I wish I was still as slim as when I bought it:(
