I can see you

Often I am looking at something else, thinking of someone else, focussed somewhere else.

Often I am with you,
but at the same time not with you.

Each day at the breakfast table I no longer open the laptop, or the newspaper, or the book, or the app.

Instead I try simply to look, and to truly see the people I am blessed to be with.

I can see you.
