No Schedule Saturday

It's half term so Saturday morning activities were off...no swimming lessons or mini kickers. That meant we could have a bit of a long lie...just what the doctor ordered...although I am feeling a bit better today.

Es organised a family breakfast...no porridge making for her father today...we have run out of porridge. After breakfast it was time for a bit of tidying.

We were heading out for lunch when Rooster had another flakey...can't blame the blue icing today...so we stayed home for lunch.

The kids started to watch a rug rats movie over lunch time so while they watched that I read a few chapters in the Stephanie Plum novel Mr R picked up from the library for me yesterday. I love Stephanie Plum novels...you get some real belly laughs in them...I frequently have to share passages with Mr R.

Anyway once the movie finished we tried again to head out for a walk...again this was fraught with difficulties...this time the Buncle flew a flakey!...Eventually, we did manage to walk to the town and view the Natural Identity Exhibition in the Tolbooth. Mr R and the boys hadn't seen Es's contributions.

We then walked up towards Mars Wark. This is a shot of what use to be the front door of the property.

We were a bit like the Grand Old Duke of York...we marched them up to the top of the hill and then we marched them down again:-) Popped into La Ciociara for a coffee...and ice creams for the army...then walked home.

Finished off the day with a movie at home...so despite the theatrics and tantrums a good day all round.
