Penguin Droppings

By gen2

Red-breasted merganser (Mergus serrator) male.

I was beguiled by the colour of the reflections in Saturday's blip so I overlooked the deficiencies in the recording of the bird itself.

I went back again today, earlier and with better lighting. This was the best of the new bunch that I captured. It certainly reveals the red eye that I didn't see last time.

Incidentally, it was just as cold and bleak this afternoon as it has been for the last 3 days.

[Edit} To save you looking back through my journal (or reading my 'about this journal' entry, this photo was taken in Kirkcaldy Harbour, Fife.
