Spaghetti

A couple of days ago, I wrote about the extreme difficult infrastructure of Bombay High Oilfield. Today I took a picture of our Survey positioning screen on the bridge. The white rectangle is the outline of the Hermod with her anchors colored green. All the red lines are pipelines and the tiny yellow rectangles are existing platforms. Try for yourself to design a symmetrical anchorplan with all 12 anchors out and no anchor touching the seabed closer than 100 meters from a pipeline. Also the anchorhandling on this field is quite a job, none of all these pipelines is allowed to be touched by an anchor or even a crossing anchorwire!
