[Day2] USMC San Diego, Recruit's Family Day

I think, over 15 years of having a facination with cameras, this is the one photo that makes me the happiest.

Nothing is stronger than a mom's love. Public displays of affection are technically prohibited while in uniform, but everyone knows, including the drill seargents, that nothing can stop a mother from hugging the son she's worried herself sick over, missed greatly, and not seen in three long months.

Cousin Nick graduated from the USMC in San Diego on the 14th of January (that's tomorrow, but I'm backblipping) and most of the family came to see him and be together for possibly the last time in many many years. It was great to not only see Nick's graduation, but to catch up with family, and of course, correspondingly difficult to leave and say goodbyes.
