Starry Eyed Surprise

By bellerock

Good advice on a grey day.

If you take the time to look, you'll see wild flowers along the grassy beach. Now look -ah!

First day of the mid-term hols and it's cold and damp. Mr G and I are full of the cold and Claire is tired from her show performances this week.

We went to Broughty Ferry to walk the dogs this morning and set off along the Grassy Beach walk.
I haven't been along that way for ages, and I was pleasantly surprised with this cheery mosaic sign.

Sure enough all along the wall, there were little clay signs identifying plants that grow here; thrift, dogrose and catsear to name a few.

Claire found a yellow bath duck which had washed up with the tide and Radar found a 'brain licker' sweet carton (lovely!).

Claire was hoping that the duck had an exciting history like the ducks used in the NASA climate change project in Greenland. However, I don't think this one has had such an auspicious past.

To defrost after the walk, we had lunch in Ketchup and went shopping in Dundee.

I'm so lethargy today that when we got home I cosied up on the sofa with a blanket and fell asleep, (like an old granny).

The ironing just going to have to wait one more day.
