Dust

We left George's house in Ashaiman and waited a long time for a bus in the State Transport Company (STC) bus station in Accra. STC are the only buses that run to a timetable - which means we departed on the 8am bus to Kumasi at 1.15pm (we hadn't been there since 8). This was the first bus to anywhere that day, no information was given about if or when there would be buses, and there were a lot of irate people around.
Once on the way, parts of the road are very good - other parts are perpetual road works - very slow for the road users and very dusty for people living nearby!
