Distraction

The most excellent thing about a novel that lets you travel between dimensions, whisks you away to parallel universes and brings you face to face with sheer evil is that it also requires no physical exertion and lets you forget about the pounding in your head, the relentless snot faucet and the squishy sounds in your ears.
