Pretty Bird!

It was a beautiful weekend here in southeastern North Carolina (USA). I was working in the yard pulling down what seemed to be thousands of vines and cutting back many wax myrtle branches.

We have a little "zen garden", as we call it, in our back yard. Lots of plants, bird houses and feeders, We have many songbirds here all year long. Today, during one of my breaks, I happened to catch this female Cardinal atop one of the feeder posts. I think she's beautiful.
