Clean Air Here!

Lichens (pronounced laykyn, sometimes litchen) according to Wikipedia. We go for the first option here in Mid Wales. And the second. Both, really. Sometimes both at the same time.

This was the result of a walk with Running Backwards - a 2 day blipmeet!

Gloomy, wet day but a beautiful walk and once out and about, very enjoyable.

Have just tried to persuade brother-in-law of the joys of blipfoto but he was only keen to talk about his photos of 1947 era coal fired marine boilers - I suggested that was a niche area!

Lichen are supposed to be an indicator of clean air. Which ones exactly I haven't as yet ascertained.

Mid Wales receives clean air off the Atlantic I suppose (SW winds and all) so we should be pleased. Clean or not - the lichen and moss seen today were great and definitely abundant.
