Deer Streets

Driving back from the supermarket this evening I cursed not having my camera at hand as a deer stepped out in front of us on the road.

Now, we live in a small town in a well built up area so it was a bit of a shock to see this beautiful creature alongside us. It tried to get into the cemetery across the road from our house but the gate had been locked so it eventually managed to leap over the four foot high wall to reach safety amongst the graves.

Perhaps tomorrow I will venture in there to see if it's still there.
