Return to the North

For those that have gone

My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Christchurch tonight as they deal with the tragedy of another devastating earthquake.
I sat at the lunch table at 12.51pm and felt the rumble of a quake here in Murch, one that it soon became obvious was a 'doozie'. The earthquake bell rang and the staff and students collected on the field. Thankfully for us it was a gentle rumble. Within minutes it was clear that we were the lucky ones and that Christchurch had yet again been hit. Unlike Sept 4th (which I was in!) this one struck the city centre at midday on a working day - I will leave the rest to your imaginations.
Such is the size of NZ that when final figures come in we will almost certainly all have lost someone we know - so God Bless to you all
