thru the eyes of blinzler

Aoraki / Mount Cook

This morning the heavy rain had reached the east coast. After a very short visit to Christchurch where people were busy cleaning up after a recent earthquake, we decided to take a risk: We drove back westward again - right through the rain. Fortunately, the plan worked out. When we reached Lake Pukaki, the clouds had gone and we had this beautiful view of the highest peak of New Zealand at sunset. Sadly, however, this is one of the last photographs I took with my EOS 400D :-(
