Goggle eyed.

I'm not a swimmer but can, not particularly well.
Kevin is a swimmer and can do very well and fast.
John is most probably going to be a swimmer like his dad.

I didn't want him to be a can-do-but-hate swimmer like me so I took him for lessons when he was little. The lessons were rubbish and he didn't learn anything. Then he lost heart and started to refuse to go to lessons.

On the advice of an ex PE teacher neighbour, Kevin started to take him to the pool to play about with no pressure to learn swimming. He loves the water and gradually he learned to swim under water but just couldn't get to grips with swimming on top.

One to one lessons began today.

He cried in the car.

He refused to go in the building.

He did go in.

He swam under water, did the back stroke, jumped in and did two lengths with a float. All in 30 mins.

He came out buzzing, chatty, happy, a chlorine rash across his nose and big red goggle impressions around his eyes.

I'm very impressed with this swimming club.
