Getting nowhere fast

Sitting in a traffic jam this morning on my way to work - 0 miles an hour. It was at the temporary traffic lights for gas main works, they've been going on for ages.

Today they were even slower than usual as both lights had got stuck on red so the workmen had to let the traffic through manually. But luckily it's half term week so, although I got held up here, I sailed through the outskirts of Birmingham so my journey didn't take any longer than usual.

The traffic lights were working again by the time I came home, but the roadworks don't look like they will be gone anytime soon.
