Happy birthday to Mister

It's my other half's birthday today and I baked him a cake. It was a classic sandwich sponge cake filled with marmite and peanut butter.

Only joking, of course.

Actually cherries, brandy and strawberry jam (I had a shortage of cherries).

This was a 'throw it all in a bowl and whisk' recipe, which turned out pretty good, for someone who can't bake.

NB. He's not 8.
