Snow Indeed.

I feel incredibly calm and relaxed this evening. This week has been much slower paced than the last four or five. Everyone is healthy. The sticker chart has done wonders in this home. The kids are eating their 'New Kitchen New Rules' meals and......

It did indeed snow.

It snowed this morning quickly canceling school for most of the surrounding districts. By the time we got the kids bundled up and outside, the snow slush made the neighborhood a whole new adventure. Our son LOVES the snow. I would say that our daughter LIKES it.

We all took a walk while our son drove his little jeep through the snowslush and jumped curbs. He is a wild little driver in that thing. Two wheels on the curb, two wheels off. Our daughter absolutely will not attempt to drive it. It probably goes 1 mph but that is 1mph too fast in her opinion. So she chose to walk along side and make tiny little wet snowballs along the way.

This slow pace day was nice for us. It was nice to come inside for hot chocolate and grilled cheese sandwiches. And by late afternoon, the slush got some company. Brand new large flakes of snow began to fall and continued to do so for over an hour. This is when I took my camera outside for a photo. I had a few different blip options for today. One of our son riding his jeep. Another of our daughter making a snowball. Each photo absolutely adorable. But I chose this photo due to its striking composition. I am drawn to the contrast between light and dark. And the beauty of the snow clinging to each branch. This truly was a beautiful sight. Every tree glistening with sparkling snow. For a couple of hours this afternoon, the landscape outside looked like a winter wonderland.
