Double History

Double dose of history today. After a dreadful night's sleep with a toilet cistern that didn't stop running all night, we made an early start for Chateau de Pierrefonds, where the TV series Merlin is partly filmed. It's the kids' favourite, and was a treat to reward their patience with the last few days of endless meetings and driving. We brought their knights dress up stuff, and they galloped around having sword battles and re-enacting scenes from the show.

Mr B had spotted signs for the place where the Armistice was signed in 1918. Oddly moving place, despite the dog constantly barking in the bacground. This stone marks where the signature happened.
