Crookes Valley Park

A dreary photo from a dreary day, and I'll have to make sure CVP gets a more flattering photo sometime during nicer weather.

The park is my most regular "lunchtime patch", and is a short walk away from work. It gets a suprising amount of good birds if you persevere, and my highlights over the years have included Mandarin, Teal, Tawny Owl and Lapwing, with Grey Wagtail, Redwing, Fieldfare and Grey Heron more regular. More usually it'll be the obligatory Mallards and a few Coots, Moorhen and Black-headed Gulls, but it's worth making regular visits to see what's about.
