Potters of Buxton

Potters clothing shop in Buxton has existed in the same premises since 1860!
It is a fabulous store reminiscent of Are You Being Served but on a smaller level.
It has hats, lingerie, ties, suiting, etc. everything and more that either sex could ever wish to need in the clothing range.
Here is a picture of their changing room with a wonderful bench wood chair, rug and suitably dated advertising pictures on the wall.
Also it always seems at least for the last 10 years to have a permanent sale on.
Today I visited with my friend David who was looking for some warm pyjamas. He'd tried at Marks and Spencers but to no avail so I introduced him to Potters where he left with a suitably snazzy pair in a Paisley design with 25% off!
Sadly these shops are rarely seen now. You are probably more likely to see a reconstruction of them in a museum. But Potters is alive and well.
Visit now before the sale ends!
