Happy Birthday Max!

16months 5 days

What a crazy yet totally fantastic day!! We've had so many playdates today, as we are back in Scarborough for the weekend. Its been really special. We started the day with brunch with little friends Hannah, Sam and their parents - I used to nanny for hannah and then sam is 4 weeks older than Katie. Hanny was really excited to see us, and her and Katie played beautifully together.

After a morning with them, we went for lunch with some family friends - Katie absolutely troughed (more tomato pasta!). I thought she was going to have a nap after that visit, after running excitedly after their dog for ages. But she didnt! She stayed awake. We went to see our little friend Euan, who is 10 months old. Katie was determined to climb in his walker and bounced like it was a jumperoo. She also played really nicely with his little boy doll.

From there, it was a quick pit stop at Grandads to get changed and such, ready for our 'real' reason for being in Scarborough - Max's First Birthday. My beautiful, fantastic little godson (to be, Christening tomorrow!) They had such a wonderful time, her and Max adore each other, although Max is very expressive of this, where Katie prefers at a distance. They sat on either side of me for their tea, Max was absolutely hoovering everything imaginable, he loved being able to have so much treat food in one sitting! I had a great time looking after them both. It was a really special time. As Lauren, my best friends, mum said, none of us imagined when we were 10months old sharing a playpen at nursery, that we would one day be at our babies' first birthdays together.

Lauren, you have raised a beautiful little boy, who really does you proud. Max, we love you to pieces, little dude. Happy Birthday xxxxxx
