Back and Forth thru time

Dark Side of the Moon

Afternoon all,

You all know what its like, there are some days when you just can't manage to feed your blip addiction.

You either see the things you want to blip but aren't in a position to take advantage of them, camera not ready, hands not free, brain not engaged, or you just don't see a single thing that captures your imagination, fires your synapses and just begs to be blipped.

Leaving you frustrated, running out of time and inspiration, scratching around the house in a desperate attempt to blip, will that fork cast an interesting shadow, will the cat ever yawn, does the washing up water catch the light in an interesting way etc.

and then there are other days, days when everything leaps at you and screams

"pick me pick me for your blip, pleeease!"

Today was that day, last day of school holidays, we went for an afternoon walk and everything was a photo opportunity.

The dog was beautifully photogenic, the pheasants lined up to be snapped, lambs gamboled around for the lens, even an early March hare hung around.
Agricultural machines struck interesting poses and architecture leaned at crazy angles throwing shaadows across the floor..

so why this blip after all the beauty i've seen,

well as i was walking home i took a quick shot of one of the characters in the village, just because i know him and his neighbour fairly and they are a cross between Last of the Summer wine and Carry On characters, part of the fabric of the village..

and when i looked at it and read the street sign,

well, it wouldn't be true to myself if i didn't put this one up, i guess this will cost me the cost of a pint when i show him, but somehow i think it will be worth the price...
