These photos are all 35mm film, usually black and white, comprising a part of the series "Life on the Mesa".  The Taos mesa, and northern New Mexico in general, is a fierce place to live and create a home.  But the effort is rewarded by the spectral beauty of the mountains and light.

All of my photos are taken with a 1980's Minolta X7.  In combination with Fomapan 100/200 every photo is a chancer, as the film has been made in the former Czechoslovakia in the same way since the '50s and the camera suffers no fools.  Fomapan is my goto but I also dabble with lots of other strange and wonderful films - the Ilford 3200, Rollei 80.
