I live in Warwickshire, in England, and work in my own consultancy business as an information architect and taxonomist [1] from my own office or (when I must) at client premises.

I take photos - lots of photos - for fun, and I'm trying to improve my results. I am a bit of a gear nerd, and I've flirted with various cameras in the past. For the last few years I've had Fujifilm equipment - after trying out various models I've settled on an X-T1 and an X100T with a collection of decent lenses, and unless there are radically improved new models I'm sticking with this. I love the usability and build quality of Fujifilm cameras and the un-paralleled clarity and sharpness of their lenses. I do keep some other cameras -  some vintage film cameras and a Nikon D7100 for a bit of nostalgia and for when I need to remember what it's like to carry a couple of bricks hanging round my neck.
