Working part-time, with a 13 year old son at school, I finally have a little time to enjoy the wonderful countryside around our home. With Box Hill, Norbury Park, Bookham Common and Polesdon Lacey just a few of the wonderful open areas on my doorstep, all close to the North Downs.

Rupert came into our lives in December 2012. Having always had a dog we were still missing our scruffy lurcher cross, Jes.

Rupert is from Romania - has battle scars to prove it! He is one of the lucky ones and was first saved by a wonderful lady who has been rescuing Irish dogs, and now Romanian dogs too, for over 30 years. His journey to happiness has only just begun - he still can't quite believe it and has an extra spring to his step since moving to the countryside.

I love taking photos - nothing too serious though! I think this site will satisfy my need to continue taking them and provide inspiration and variety from trawling all the wonderful posts it contains.

Looking forward to a busy 2013!

Since writing the above I have now completed 365 blips! Quite amazed how quickly the year passed. Blipping has been a valuable way of getting to know my camera really well and it has been wonderful to get to know so many other blippers and follow their wonderful journals.
